Plants require light for photosynthesis and healthy growth. Natural sunlight provides a full spectrum of light wavelengths, but plants only use narrow parts of the spectrum for  photosynthesis. LED lights are unique in that they are not full spectrum light sources, so they can be designed to only produce the type of light that is required for any particular application. In this case, we are able to only use LED lights that produce appropriate light for successful photosynthesis and by doing so, we have created a highly efficient plant growth light.
